What we do
The 2025 tax law created four temporary deductions: no tax on overtime, no tax on tips, an extra $6,000 deduction for people 65 and older, and a deduction for car loan interest. The rules are narrower than their names suggest. We built calculators that start from the paperwork you already have, a pay stub, a W-2, a VIN, and show the federal tax you actually keep.
Where the numbers come from
Every rule on the site comes from primary sources: the Internal Revenue Code (sections 224, 225, 151(d)(5) and 163(h)(4)), IRS notices and fact sheets, the IRS forms themselves such as Schedule 1-A, and the IRS revenue procedures that set each year's tax brackets. Each page shows when it was last updated. How we calculate explains the math in detail.
What we are not
We are not the IRS or any government agency, and we're not a tax preparer. The calculators give estimates for general information, not advice for your situation. For that, talk to a tax professional or use the IRS's own tools.
How the site is paid for
The calculators are free. The site may show ads and may link to tax software that pays us a commission when someone signs up. That never changes a calculation or what we say about the rules.
